I’ve made much of the importance and value of looking for non-obvious organizational and taxonomic schemes under the banner of Metadata Synthesis. The other side of that coin is starting with a pre-existing organizational schema and creating rich HTML content from it. If properly executed, even ubiquitous and common data assets (like a list of US cities) can be used to create “unique” pages to which the search engines will accord value and traffic.
